HVDC Service is now searching for a Project Technical Engineer to join the Software team in Ludvika, Sweden. In this role, you will play an important role in our extensive projects and across various phases of the project. Your main area of responsibility will be to collaborate with project teams and drive the project from start to finish. Therefore, teamwork is an essential part of this role since you will be assisting the project group with various activities.

As a Project Technical Engineer, you will also gain exposure to various phases of project management, receive mentorship from professionals in the field, and have the opportunity to travel globally during the commissioning period at the end of each project.

Your Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively in global projects, contributing across all project phases, including but not limited to tendering, conceptual design, detailed design, testing, installation, and commissioning.
  • Assist in the development and execution of project plans, ensuring adherence to timelines, scope, and specifications.
  • Support senior engineers in project documentation, reports, and technical assessments.
  • To have a sense of responsibility and ownership, being capable of planning and organizing your daily work.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot technical issues and ensure seamless project execution.
  • Be involved and assist with knowledge during the development of the department and its processes.

Your Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Previous experience of similar roles or responsibilities is a plus, but not a requirement.
  • Strong technical aptitude and eagerness to learn new concepts.
  • You have an interest or experience within software development and programming, digital control technology and signal processing from the electric power industry
  • Good communication skills to effectively collaborate within diverse teams.
  • Flexible attitude and ability to adapt to changes and evolving project requirements.
  • Fluency in English is required, knowledge of Swedish or other languages will be considered as an advantage.

Additional Information

In this role, you will be based at our office in Ludvika, Sweden. Business travel may be required.
