Looking for an opportunity to work with direct taxes in the FS Industry?

In Swedbank you have the opportunity to:
  • Become part of a truly international organization and work with challenging tax issues in a rapidly developing industry.

  • Drive change and implement best practices on tech and automation in the tax area.
  • Support and advice the organization on matters relating to direct taxes, e.g. ad-hoc tax matters, tax compliance, credit of foreign taxes, legal and capital structure management, M&A and restructuring projects.
  • Monitor legal developments in the direct taxes area both domestic and international.
  • Work closely with the Group’s Tax Controller to support and advice the organization on matters relating to tax accounting and be hands-on involved in the monthly tax reporting process of the Group.
  • Manage contacts in the Group with different categories of expertise: tax, IFRS, accounting, treasury, investor relations, IT as well as other group functions and business units.
  • Interact externally with peers, tax professionals, auditors and tax authorities.

    What isneeded in this role:
    • University degree in law and/or finance, preferably both.
    • Minimum of ten years relevant experience from an in-house group tax function and/or tax consultancy firm.
    • Strong tax technical skills with ability to apply them in practice and communicate with stakeholders.
    • Tax accounting competence from a multinational group applying IFRS.
    • Interest in tax tech and data-driven approaches in problem-solving.
    • Analytical and problem-solving nature with a capacity to get things done.
    • Ability to work independently but still be a team player with good interpersonal skills.
    • Fluent in Swedish and business English, both verbal and written.
