We are looking for a dedicated Manager Automation Engineering to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our Engineering team based in Skellefteå. By joining us, you will be a key player in establishing the highest quality performance in our production in Northvolt Ett and contribute to building one of the first large-scale European battery factories.

The Manager Automation Engineering supports in growing people in the Automation team assigned to a certain area or scope. The responsibility involves making sure that the team thrive in their roles and have access to all the tools, trainings and coaching needed. The role involves a strong technical background and also shapes the design of our solutions and is an important influencer in our technology and architecture choices. The role will have a strong focus on building a strong culture, facilitating technical deliveries and work with continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Responsible for managing engineers and vendors to design and deliver industrial process equipment achieving aggressive yield and rate targets against tight deadlines optimizing following factors:

o Quality

o Capacity / CAPEX

o Cost of manufacturing

o OEE

Responsible for managing projects, timelines, budget, and track progress on projects focusing on respective engineering departments or teams.

Responsible to secure engineering team growth and competence development as well as long term employee development and employee satisfaction.

Responsible to both establish and secure compliance with standards and procedures.

Responsible to secure and enable cross functional integration to relevant engineering teams to define interfaces for advanced real time monitoring, production control and optimization.

We believe that you have :

• Degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Software Engineering or similar.

• 3+ years of experience within Industrial Automation in automated manufacturing environments such as: automotive, semiconductors, pharmaceutical, medical devices etc.

• Experience in writing technical documentation

• Good time management skills generating both short term and term solutions in parallel.

• English Fluency
