SweGaN is a European semiconductor manufacturer that develops and produces customer-made materials and high-performance gallium nitride epitaxial wafers for manufacturers of leading components and devices. We develop and deliver unique material solutions based on the company’s ground-breaking GaN epitaxial technology.
SweGaN products are used for a wide array of applications including 5G telecommunications infrastructure, defence radars, satellite communications, EVs, high voltage power switches and more. SweGaN’s benchmark QuanFINE® epitaxial growth technology increases performance of RF and power devices and reduces energy consumption.
Our customers include manufacturers of RF components and equipment for the aerospace, communications/radio base, and defence industries. Our materials are particularly promising for high-voltage applications in electric vehicle and data centres. Our vision is to create a positive impact on the environment and reduce energy consumption through our energy-efficient GaN materials. Our goal is to become a world-leading player in the production of next-generation semiconductors!
Today, SWEGAN has staff around 30 people and is in a strong growth phase. Our headquarters and production facility are in Linköping, where we work in close collaboration with both Linköping University and Chalmers in Gothenburg. Position Summary:
A Vice President (VP) of Business Strategy plays a critical role in shaping and guiding the overall direction of an organization.
In your role as a VP of Business Strategy you are to develop and execute the company's long-term strategic plan, identify growth opportunities and areas for operational improvement and to oversee the formulation and implementation of strategic initiatives.
To make the right strategic decisions you need to be able to identify industry trends and completive landscape, Assess potential mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships. You are to ensure that strategic plans are resilient and adaptable to market changes
In your role you will work closely with executive leadership to develop and communicate strategic goals. You are to foster an innovating and strategic culture within the organisation
SweGaN use KPI:s to measure and develop the wellbeing of the organisation and those you will evaluate and assure they are established and adopted to generate sustainability and growth.
To ensure alignment with strategic priorities you will oversee the allocation of resources.
Responsibilities:
- Business Development in power semiconductor industry and value chains
- Sales and key account management
- New semiconductor material/device/technology/application scouting
- Supply chain analysis
- Lead cross-functional teams to ensure strategic alignment across the organization.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Communicate the strategic vision to internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Master degree or above in material science or engineering or management
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in strategic planning, business development, or related fields.
- Proven track record of successfully leading strategic initiatives in a corporate environment.
- More then 5 years working experience in the semiconductor industry
- Knowledgeable about GaN, SiC and power devices in general
- Have a permanent residence in Europe
