Job Advertisement: Experienced Technician – Component Part 145 (EASA/FAA Certified)
We are seeking an Experienced Technician to join our Component Part 145 Maintenance Team. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in aircraft component maintenance, particularly within Thrust Reverser Maintenance, as well as experience working in compliance with EASA and FAA regulations. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to play a key role in ensuring the safety and quality of our operations.
• Inspection Oversight: Monitor incoming units and their progress through all maintenance stages, from initial inspection to final assembly and release, ensuring documentation is kept up-to-date and properly signed off.
• Thrust Reverser Maintenance: Perform maintenance, repair, overhaul, and modifications, including testing, inspection, disassembly, damage rectification, reassembly, and rigging of thrust reversers.
• Structural Installations: Ensure correct procedures are followed when handling significant structural components, using appropriate fixtures and adhering to maintenance data.
• Mechanical Component Inspection: Inspect mechanical components—such as actuating systems, hold-open rods, seals, and standard parts—during installation and removal, ensuring compliance with relevant work documents, including Service Bulletins (SB) and Airworthiness Directives (AD).
• Material Management: Manage the requisition of raw materials and spare parts, tracking orders to maintain efficiency and workflow.
• Quality Assurance: Guarantee that products meet airworthiness standards and internal quality benchmarks by inspecting your work and that of colleagues to ensure adherence to standards.
• Certification Responsibility: Issue Certificates of Release to Service (CRS) for overhauled and repaired components within your authorization, verifying compliance with SB and AD requirements.
• Education & Communication: Foster a culture of excellence by educating workshop staff on quality standards and any procedural changes. Keep the team informed of relevant updates to regulations.
• Reporting & Compliance Auditing: Document any quality deviations and suggest areas for improvement. Support internal audits to ensure departmental compliance, contributing to overall site audit planning.
• Investigative Contributions: Participate as part of the STEAS internal investigation team, assisting the Quality Department with audits, safety reviews, and occurrence reporting.
• Authorized Quality Release: Act as an Authorized Quality Release to Service Staff, ensuring products and processes align with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Background & Qualifications:
• Technical Expertise: Proven background as an Aircraft Technician in a related field.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with EASA and FAA standards.
• Composite Experience: Experience with composite materials is advantageous.
• Computer Skills: Basic proficiency with computers is required.
Basic Demands & Work Experience:
• Minimum Age: 30 years old.
• Mechanical Rating: Must hold a Category B1 - Mechanical Maintenance Technician.
• Technical Background: Strong technical expertise in relevant areas.
• Experience: At least 3 years as a B1 technician.
• Production Knowledge: Deep understanding of production processes.
• Communication Skills: Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Assessment: Candidates must pass an evaluation by the Quality Department.
• Experience Requirements: At least 6 months of relevant maintenance experience within a 2-year period, in line with EASA 145.A.35 standards.
