In a world where product size labels are wildly unreliable, Volumental is the footwear industry's leading FitTech™ company, using 3D scans and a one-of-a-kind, AI-powered recommendation engine to match everyone with the shoes that fit them best. With top brand and retail partners across the world including New Balance, Bauer, The Athlete's Foot, Ecco and XXL, our footprint spans 2500+ stores across 45 countries, and growing! Whether a customer is scanning their feet in a store in Japan or trying to find a pair of great fitting running shoes online; it’s done via the Volumental cloud. The cloud collects scan data, delivers 3D representations of your feet straight in your mailbox, and recommends footwear based on millions of scans and purchases. We need your help perfecting it. As a SRE at Volumental, you will own the operational problem space at Volumental. You will work closely together with our product engineers to scale and create a resilient infrastructure to keep up with the continued growth of both services and traffic (we have so far scanned 10 million pairs of feet). Your goal is to allow product teams to take full ownership of their infrastructure and software, while at the same time giving them more time to focus on product development. You will be joining a company with a strong engineering culture and a genuine love for building software. As sole SRE at Volumental, you will have great influence over operational decisions and be able to move fast in our small, diverse and experienced team. We want to work with you because you are: A self-motivated and collaborative team member Open to teaching others and learning new things Excited by solving challenging problems We expect you to have: Experience with Google Cloud and Kubernetes Experience with microservice architecture and tooling Experience with CI/CD automation tools Experience with best practices in software engineering Used Infrastructure as code Knowledge of high-level programming, in Golang/Python (or in similar language) Bonus - Don’t let these stop you from applying, but if they fit you, please let us know!
