IKEA Range & Supply has the responsibility to develop, design, produce and supply IKEA retail channels with home furnishing solutions available to the many people. Each year IKEA Range & Supply introduces 2,000 new products in the 424 IKEA stores and other multichannel touchpoints around the world. The total range is almost 10,000 products. So, what happens in Älmhult definitely doesn't stay in Älmhult. It reaches practically every corner of the globe.

One of these areas is Marketing & Communication where the focus is on the strategic development of the IKEA product and range marketing and communication, brand building communication as well as communication to the many people inside and outside of IKEA. It's about sharing what we do and why we do it to create engagement and build curiosity and trust for the IKEA brand.

Right now we are looking for a BA Marketing & Communication Leader to join Business Area DOW (Dining, Outdoor & Secondary Storage, Workspaces) and to be responsible for Home furnishing business (HFB) Outdoor and Secondary Storage.
Business Area (BA) DOW is a very exciting business area with a mission to reach more of the many people. We have ambitious plans, exciting range and a strong position in people and planet positive. Outdoor and Secondary Storage range plays a significant role in attracting consumers, and especially through the Outdoor products with its seasonal pattern. Readiness and accuracy are key factors of success as we need to be fully ready at the right time to maximise the impact! Our Secondary Storage range cater for solving storage needs for our customers in various areas of the home.
In this role you will be a part of the Range & Product team and together with your colleagues in the team you will lead, plan and ensure that the range and products delivers to set objectives and goals in connection to strategies and business plans, throughout the entire life cycle end to end within the entire IKEA value chain.
As Marketing Communication leader you are responsible to develop, plan and execute the Marketing Communication agenda for an impactful and attractive offer through marketing and communication to reach IKEA positioning, brand and growth objectives. You are responsible to create a unique value proposition based on competition, business segments and specific market conditions with the aim to gain long term market share. Together with the Marketing & Communication functional team, you will lead the amplification of the offer through range and product communication, and range presentation as well as contributing in sharing how we do business.
The Marketing Communication leader is part of the Marketing & Communication function in BA DOW, and reports to Marketing & Communication manager of the same BA. In this role we believe that you:
• have excellent ability in creating marketing communication impact and processes to inspire, communicate and visualize concepts and ideas to create the best possible offer
• have great leadership capabilities to lead business in a fast moving environment
• have the ability to interpret, transform & execute strategies and insights into development needs and M&C plans
• have strong ability to combine working on a strategic level with taking action on an operational/tactical level as well as identify opportunities and gaps
• have strong ability to contribute to overall performance and the development of the range and product team
• have experience in creating and managing business planning with good understanding of the value chain
• have deep knowledge of life at home, customer needs, democratic design and home furnishing
• have knowledge of the prerequisites for successful digital presence
In order to be successful in this role you need to have a strong knowledge in marketing and communication field with experience in brand and marketing management and preferably with an academic degree in Marketing or equivalent. You have knowledge about our markets and the trends as well as our competitors and user behaviour. And of course, excellent communication skills with IKEA tone of voice.
